Another painting sketch for my show Dark Glamour coming up in a couple weeks at Glama-Rama Salon and Gallery. Opening 7-10pm at 304 Valencia Street, San Francisco. For this one I included some of Marlene’s statements from an old paperback Marlene Dietrich’s ABC.
I was always fascinated by Valentino. In fact, for some reason I painted his tombstone when I was in my 20’s. Dietrich and Valentino hold sway over my studio. Pictures found at a thrift store – somebody’s collection wound up there – most were gone but I got my favorites.
After a night of not sleeping and being unable to pick up a brush all day – I completed this picture of Valentino for my show Dark Glamour coming up at Glama-Rama Salon and Gallery Opening September 6, 7-10 pm 304 Valencia Street @ 14th San Francisco.

Was thinking about doing a series of collages with my sculpture mixed with pictures of different places. Here is a photo of the sculpture combined with a photo of Alcatraz.
As i’m going through transitions in my new life, I’m looking back at what I used to do. This is a drawing from the 80’s. I think I’ve always been dark and fascinated with pattern.
