Ode to Fendi

I’ve always kept sketchbooks. Some from college days are filled with sketches and things that inspire me. One of those things was a Fendi ad from the 80’s. I decided to paint a crop of it for my show Dark Glamour. This is the first painting I’ve done since taking a month to do the Clarendon Heights ceiling project. Painted in metallics with a background paint that has mica in it. Somehow he looks Pre-Raphaelite to me.
